Boat trips are back in Hebden Bridge
Regular canal cruises are departing from the Stubbing Wharf this summer. So come and take a 30-minute scenic and informative cruise on board Stubbing Wharf Cruisers’ traditional canal boat Gracie.
We offer scheduled cruises including Sunday Roast Cruises, Afternoon Tea Cruises, and even pirate parties for the kids. Or, you can charter your own cruise for any other event: gather your friends for a party or your colleagues away from the office. Why not give Phil a call on 07966 808717.

Our narrow beamed craft Gracie is named after Rochdale’s finest, Gracie Fields. It was built especially for the canal but it was originally built for twenty and we now take a maximum of twelve, so there’s room for all. It’s equipped with small galley and bar serving soft drinks and copious amounts of tea and coffee.

30-minute Crocodile Cruises/Scenic Cruise
“Did anyone see that crocodile?” One little lad said he saw a crocodile on one of our cruises at Sowerby Bridge. Its been spotted several times since (allegedly) but so far no ones seen one in Hebden. (Someone thought they spied a hippopotamus but I think they were joking. A hippopotamus is far too large to wallow in a canal!) Draw a crocodile competition to win a prize. Our 30-minute Crocodile Cruises run regularly in summer; scenic, relaxing, fun and informative about the navigation and local history. Every half hour between 2pm and 4pm. (3pm finish on Wednesday) No need to book, just turn up and go!
Adults £5.00 Children £3.00
Adult + Child £7.00 Family (2+2) £13.00
Great for kids!
Kids’ parties

A great idea for that annual problem! If there’s no room on Gracie for
the grown ups, they could enjoy the wait at the Stubbing Wharf!
Pirate Parties
Shiver me timbers and join us for a pirate party… It’s one of several
kids’ cruises we do that are popular with the adults too!
We have some pirate costumes and the captain will even dress up if you
ask (if you do, don’t be surprised to be asked to walk the plank) and
you may end up on the website! Prizes for the best dressed pirate -at
the captain’s discretion!
Mums & Toddlers Cruise
Cruise with your youngsters.
A safe relaxed environment for young children and mums to discover the
wildlife along the canal.
Did you know?
Our canal is 32 miles long, built over the Pennines virtually by hand?
It requires 92 locks and was opened in 1804. It took less than 10 years
to build. Where does the water come from? I know it rains a lot
but what happens when it doesn’t? We will tell you on our cruise!
