Food

Mathew Browne (Head Chef and Acting Director) can be credited with introducing a great wholesome home cooked menu and assembling a team of hard working individuals to smoothly run the kitchen. Our food has a great reputation in the locality. We use local suppliers for all our produce.

With Mathew in the kitchen there will always be something on the menu to satisfy even the most particular of appetites.
Alongside our standard menu of traditional favourites and light bites we have a varied selection of dishes on our specials board that offer that little bit extra. A selection from our menu can be found below:

Beer

Award Winning Bar (CAMRA Calderdale pub of the Summer Season 2007)

Our main bar is open throughout the day, year round, from 12 noon until 11pm (slightly later at weekends).
It is a great place to meet up, drink real ale, enjoy a meal, have a coffee, catch up with the local news and sample a real friendly Yorkshire atmosphere .
Our guest ales are rotated on a regular basis

In 1858 Timothy Taylor began brewing beer in Cook Lane in the West Riding town of Keighley. He clearly struck upon a successful formula, for in 1863 he set up, and built a larger brewery at Knowle Spring, where the company has remained ever since.

The superb spring water that wells up from deep under the Pennines is still used today to produce the country’s best traditional cask ales.

A Classic Strong Pale Ale, Landlord has won more awards nationally than any other beer: This includes four times as Champion at the Brewers’ International Exhibition and four times as CAMRA’s beer of the year.

Refreshingly reliable, nationally renowned, this full drinking Pale Ale with a complex and hoppy aroma has real “Pulling Power” and stands out in any bar as the ideal regular.
